Lights are nice, not spectacular. Had trouble getting it to light up at first, but it eventually did so without any further trouble (maybe it needed to be charged). And, yes, it is pretty short, shorter than I expected. This is an okay item but a good example of an item that to me doesn't really represent good value for the price I paid (and I have bought a lot of solar lights over the past year).

I would have wanted to know that these were blinking lights, rather than a steady glow. No where does it indicate this is the case (nor do any of the other reviewers note this) and it does change the look drastically. The blinking is annoying and looks like it should be relegated to Halloween season. And yes, too short. Honestly, the photos create an illusion of a longer strand so I payed minimal attention to the noted length (my fault). Speaking of paying, this is a rip off. $20? Really? It was nearly impossible to slip the ten lantern fabric covers over the cheap plastic pieces holding the bulb (the required assembly). You need five year old hands with adult dexterity: not happening. I broke two of them in the process. Verdict? Don't bother with this item.
